John King (born August 30, 1963) is an American journalist. He is the former anchor of ''State of the Union with John King'', as well as ''John King, USA'', which appeared weeknights at 7pm/ET on CNN before being cancelled. King is now CNN chief national correspondent based in Washington DC and the host of ''Inside Politics''. 〔()〕 == Personal life == King was born in Dorchester, Massachusetts. He is of Irish descent.〔(People Magazine: "Love in the CNN Newsroom" ) January 18, 2008〕 He attended Boston Latin School, and earned a bachelor's degree in journalism from the University of Rhode Island. John King married his first wife Jean Makie and had his first two kids Noah King and Hannah King.
